Whatโ€™s your ultimate finish line (goal)?

To be amongst the best in the world at long distance triathlon.

What are you most proud of?

Being undefeated in 2019 while also working as a post-doc.

Who is to thank/blame for introducing you to your sport? Tell us your history to how it all began, how you got to where you are now.

I fell into triathlon at the age of 23 after getting an injury from playing netball and volleyball. I met a triathlon club at the local pool and started joining in with them. Everyone in the club was so welcoming and they encouraged me to give triathlon a go as a sport, despite never doing it before. I fell in love with sport and didn't look back from there. Since then I have competed in XTERRA, Multisport, adventure racing and then finally the half and full distance triathlon.

What gets you out of bed in the morning and drives your passion to keep pushing yourself and chasing your finish lines?

I want to be the best I can be at this sport. I love challenging myself, learning and improving. And I love just having the opportunity to get outside and train in the outdoors.

What words of advise would you pass on to a rookie entering your sport event? What would you tell a younger you about to set out on this journey?

Join a club, team or training group. It makes it so fun and can help each other along the way. And don't let a setback get you down too much, every successful athlete has some setbacks along the way, its all part of the journey and learning process.

If you could invite any 3 people (dead or alive) to a dinner party, who would they be and why? What would you cook?

My fiance, Mum and Dad. We often have dinner together so this happens frequently, but I love spending time with my family and think there is nothing better. And I'd probably cook one of Mum's recipes and ask for her help as she is a far better cook than me!

Given our ambition as a brand is to create a fitter and healthier world, how are you going to make the world a fitter and healthier place?

By being a positive yet honest person in this sport. Sport and fitness is not all rainbows, but if we can manage our way through the tough times or setbacks like injury, being active is the best thing we can do for ourselves. I want to share my journey, sharing the good and the bad, in the hope that I can show people that.

What is your favourite 2XU product and why? How does this help you prepare, perform, recover and repeat?

The wetsuit actually - it is the most comfortable wetsuit I have tried (and I have tried a few haha!)
