Compression seems good.
I first bought the light speed compression tights for running - which I absolutely love. Both tights are labeled as “mid-rise” but the light speed fit as a high-rise on me (sit at my navel and stay put on a 20k run) and these core compression are definitely mid-rise, which sit about an inch or a bit more below my navel. I prefer the waist band of the light speed tights over these - better design and comfort overall. The tiny little material hanging on the inside of the core compression tights that acts as the only pocket is more annoying than it is useful and I’ll probably cut it off.
The length of these on me is barely a 7/8 cut - more approaching a 3/4 length, which is disappointing. I am 5’9 and 170lbs with 30” waist and 40” hips. The large in these core compression tights seems to fit a bit smaller than the light speed tights even with light speed at a higher level compression.
In the end, I wouldn’t buy these again, even on sale. However, the light speed “mid-rise” compression tights are fantastic and all items I’ve bought from 2XU are great quality so far through runs, workouts and washing - I’d give these tights an extra half star for quality.
